Our three fantastic days riding pillion with two wonderful guys, Nguyen ('Wing' for the benefit of Westerners) and Thiet ('Ted' similarly) - probably the best thing we did on the whole trip. They took us for fabulous meals and showed us any amount of interesting stuff, in the course of which we spent two nights in idyllic spots.

Nguyen ('Wing') - his name, he informs us, means 'virgin'! Quite a character, this guy.

Thiet ('Ted') - his name, on the other hand, means 'honest'. A very kind, gentle and considerate man.
