Pronounced, of course, 'Dee Em Zee', the 10 km wide strip across the narrowest part of the country (only 100 km between the coast and Laos), which separated North and South Vietnam prior to reunification in 1975. We took a tour from Hué to see various military sites along Highways 9 and 1.
