The old capital of the Nguyen dynasty which ruled Vietnam for about 150 years, and the site of the bloodiest battle of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The main attraction is the Citadel (where we were rained on very heavily), and Vietnam's most famous pagoda is a short trip away down the Perfume River.
