Peter Williams - friend, former colleague and altogether unique character - has been producing an extraordinary series of pen and ink drawings since the mid-1980s. Peter lives partly in East London and partly in a fantastic and darkly comic world of his own imagination, into which his drawings provide a glimpse. |  | ||

The drawings are very detailed and inevitably suffer from reproduction on the Web. As a consequence, what you can see here is not entirely representative of Peter's work, because we have deliberately chosen pictures that are less detailed, and contain more contrast, than is typical. |

At full size, the drawings are in approximately A3 (16" x 12") format, and executed with a fine pen. Even in the examples on show here, there are plenty of interesting details to explore, so take some time to look at them. A few of the pictures contain "hot spots" where appropriate, which lead to magnified detail views, so explore with your mouse and look out for the pointing finger. |  | ||

A click on each thumbnail takes you to a larger view of the drawing. Because of the degree of detail, even the thumbnail images are larger than you might normally expect (though none is more than 9k in file size), so they are divided into three separate pages with nine thumbnails on each. The large images vary between 70k and 130k in size, so may take a little while to load. |

Calling all publishers of art books: Peter Williams' original drawings are not available for sale individually, but he is interested in having his work published in book form. As black and white line drawings (Peter never uses colour), they lend themselves perfectly to economical reproduction in print.
